![]() ![]() But unlike non-EA games, the devs can't fix the early content or make it more fun. ![]() It's a weird indictment of the problem with Early-Access development, the devs clearly got better at making the game as they went on. Most of the girls are boring, and the most interesting ones are hidden behind hours of content. Characters spontaneously lose their hangups about hooking up or being in a harem in fits of random horniness. In comparison, the sex scenes are brief, boring, and porny. Think this review is going on a while? Trust me, it is nothing compared to the average conversation in Paradise Lust. Girls who also repeat their dialogue quirks and catchphrases ad nauseum. The real fun must end so that the protagonist can talk to not-very-attractive girls drawn in a not-really-sexy art style. The only regret is that (tragically) Erik must stop talking about Capitalism at some point. Flexible Media is absolutely certain that it is one of the two. You will hear this joke 10-20 times in a single conversation. He is instituting capitalism in a survival situation in which it should not be necessary. If you met the writer of Paradise Lust in person, he'd be that guy who told a joke, got to the punchline.and just kept going. if you're lucky.īecause you see this 23.6 hour playtime? This is the playtime of a man who clicked the "skip" button on every boring, mindless click-puzzle (thank god they added it), and who clicked through the extremely tedious dialogue. Want to meet Grace, the best girl in the game? Have fun playing 20 hours. Once you've gotten far enough in Rachel's plotline you'll be able to get somewhere with her. Want to progress with Maria? Too bad, talk to Rachel first. Because Paradise Lust is determined to be a harem, and it is determined to make having a harem tedious. ![]() Assuming that no bugs occur (more on this later) you cannot just build up your relationship points and progress a girl's plotline. This is how long I had to play to meet every girl. You may see that I've played for 23.6 hours. There are a lot of issues, but above all else, the problem is a very simple one: Paradise Lust does not respect your time. It's worth knowing which ones are worth your time and money and which ones aren't. Listen: Steam has a lot of NSFW games now. Ha ha ha hardy har har "are you winning son" lol "I'm so depraved" LOL EVERYONE SO FUNNY I look forward to seeing future updates as they complete more storylines. Still, it's always nice to see someone try something other than the same old AVN-style gameplay that is so prevalent in this genre. The mechanics are not as flushed out as titles like Treasure of Nadia. ![]() That way, you still get to learn about the girls, but you aren't just standing there all day talking. It would be nice if the conversation mechanic was more interactive somehow or that the other options to increase your relationship with the girls incorporated the conversation. It gets boring between the big relations moments. Even though I agree with what the writers have the MC say about capitalism, the back and forth with the three characters that support capitalism can go on too long.Ģ. The relationships between the MC and the girls feel genuine.ġ. Good Art and animations for the H scenes.ģ. Also, the writers are on point with the anti-capitalist undertones.Ģ. However, that doesn't stop it from occasionally having some emotionally resonant moments with the girl. Paradise Lust is Light-hearted and isn't trying to be anything but a fun time. Got me leaving mid convo because I'm tired of just waiting for people to get to the point as there's really not a choice if i want to do something else.ġ. There's been a lot of time put into it recently so I'll leave a thumbs up for now but I'm hoping there's change for the better soon and not just more minigames to pull away from the bookread effect. Feels kind of like I 'have' to do X or Y with everyone/interact positively to allow progress as there's not any penalty. I feel like they could add a relevant action to the dislike malus/not just make it seem like the whole island is just tryna hunt that diddle if you talk to them enough because they're alone and don't like Rick or wanna be Sigma Male Man. Some neat little culture relevant gems hiding about as with most of the games of this genre. I don't know how I feel about the art style yet, there are a few grammar errors but honestly not enough to worry about as they're pretty rare. The mini games are, not incredibly intuitive but necessary I guess. Plays kinda like a book, Makes me feel like I don't 'really' have a choice in what to do as there is STILL A DAMN LIZARD IN MY WAY but, what do I know. ![]()
